What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and SDKs. They help sites remember you, keep you signed in, and understand usage.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary. Required for Harbor to work; they cannot be switched off in our systems.

• Authentication and session cookies from Clerk, which keep you signed in and secure your session.
• Security cookies, including cross-site request forgery protection.
• Fraud-prevention technology from Stripe, which helps detect fraudulent payments (set on payment-related pages).

Analytics. Help us understand how Harbor is used so we can improve it.

• PostHog product analytics: pages viewed, features used, general device information. We configure PostHog to respect opt-outs, and profiles are created for signed-in users only.

Diagnostics. Sentry error monitoring captures technical error data when something breaks. It identifies problems, not people.

Harbor does not use third-party advertising cookies and does not sell or share cookie data for targeted advertising.

Your choices

• Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of non-essential analytics for that browser, automatically.
• Cookie banner: the first time you visit, a notice lets you acknowledge or learn more. You can opt out of analytics at any time from the link in that notice or in your account settings.
• Browser controls: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and payments.
• Do Not Track: we treat DNT signals the same as GPC.
