Harbor Cookie Notice

This notice explains how Harbor (harborinfluence.com) uses cookies and similar technologies. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and SDKs. They help sites remember you, keep you signed in, and understand usage.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary. Required for Harbor to work; they cannot be switched off in our systems.

• Authentication and session cookies from Clerk, which keep you signed in and secure your session.
• Security cookies, including cross-site request forgery protection.
• Fraud-prevention technology from Stripe, which helps detect fraudulent payments (set on payment-related pages).

Analytics. Help us understand how Harbor is used so we can improve it.

• PostHog product analytics: pages viewed, features used, search terms you enter, general device information, and session replays, meaning a visual reconstruction of how a visit unfolded (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and the pages on screen). Anything you type is masked before a replay is stored, and private deal-room messages are blanked entirely. We configure PostHog to respect opt-outs (a replay is never made for an opted-out browser), and profiles are created for signed-in users only.

• Harbor attribution cookie (first-party, kept 90 days): remembers the site that referred you, the campaign tags in the link you followed, and the first page you landed on, so that after you sign in we can record once where your account came from. It is not set for a browser that has opted out of analytics or sends a GPC or Do Not Track signal, and if you opt out after it was set, it is deleted before anything is sent.

Diagnostics. Sentry error monitoring captures technical error data when something breaks. It identifies problems, not people.

Harbor does not use third-party advertising cookies and does not sell or share cookie data for targeted advertising.

Your choices

• Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of non-essential analytics for that browser, automatically.
• Cookie banner: the first time you visit, a notice lets you acknowledge or learn more. You can opt out of analytics at any time from the link in that notice or in your account settings.
• Browser controls: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and payments.
• Do Not Track: we treat DNT signals the same as GPC.
